During the summer flight season, a new direct air route between Podgorica and Antalya will be introduced.
The airline SunExpress will operate flights three times a week, further improving Montenegro’s air connectivity.
“I am proud that from a modest number of destinations available in July 2024, we have reached the point where in 2026 we will have over 130 destinations, with a based low-cost carrier, Wizz Air.
In 2025, Airports of Montenegro served more than three million passengers for the first time in their history, and according to all announcements, 2026 will be a year of new records. I am pleased to be leaving air transport in better condition than ever before. Along with the excellent business performance of Airports of Montenegro, it is also important to highlight that the national airline ended the year with a profit for the second consecutive year, even though it was operating at a financial loss in July 2024,” said Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević.
