The traditional Ulcinj Squid Festival (Ulcinjska lignjada), a highly anticipated annual event and squid hunting competition, will take place on 24 October at Pristan (Mala Plaža), the Ulcinj Tourist Organisation has announced.

The day’s programme is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 with the official angling competition. Competitors will hand over their catch for the official weigh-in at around 19:00, which will be followed by the winner announcements and the prize-giving ceremony.
The excitement builds at 20:00 with a seaside public festival featuring live music, entertainment, and a massive open-air squid fry-up featuring live music, entertainment, and a massive open-air squid fry-up.
In a bid to promote Ulcinj’s rich gastronomic heritage and extend the coastal tourist season into the autumn, the squid tasting will be entirely free of charge for all attendees.
